The INNOVATION by ISIS™
is a series of compact routing switchers, providing
the user with unique flexibility, as well as reliable,
high quality, low cost systems. Each rack-mount frame
contains independent video and audio modules and power
supply that can all be installed and removed from the
front. This allows for quick and easy exchange of existing
modules, an expansion of a system to its full frame capability
or an upgrade to a new format standard.
Presently there
are six sizes of routing systems available; 16x1, 16x2,
8x8, 8x16, 16x16 and 32x32. Wherever possible a universal frame
has been utilized. For example, the 16x1 frame provides
space for either an analog or an SDI video crosspoint, and
also a stereo analog or an AES/EBU audio crosspoint module.
The 8x8 frame replaces the modules and rear connector channel,
keeping the power supply and frame.
The same control
panels operate either as local or remote panels, or both.
As a local panel it mounts on the front of the crosspoint
frame, and as a remote panel it mounts in an optional cradle,
which contains a panel controller and a power supply. The
INNOVATION by ISIS™ internal control system is a 10base2
protocol operating between remote panels and the frame over
50-ohm coax cable. The system can also be controlled by
an external RS232 open architecture protocol.
Video connections are BNC, audio connections are Weco 3-pin
compression connectors, and external control is a 'D' connector.
