16x16 'X-Y' control panels

The ISIS 16x16 X-Y control panels can either be used as local or remote control panels. When used as a remote control panel the optional cradle assembly, CR100, with built in 115V/230V input power supply and Ethernet interface should be ordered.

The simple to install coax based 10Base2 Ethernet network can support up to 32 panels and a total cable length of 300 feet. For longer distances and/or more panels, standard Ethernet LAN 'Hub' units can be used to expand the panel network to 256 panels.

Operation of the X-Y panels is very straightforward. First the desired destination (output) is selected. Once the output is selected the source (input) buttons will tally and they are used to select the desired input to that destination. Outputs that have been 'locked' are indicated by the output lamp flashing when a locked destination is selected.

The CP1616A and CP1616B panels, as illustrated, use a common set of switches for both audio and video (AFV). This type of panel is preferred when AFV is the normal mode of operation. The CP1616A and CP1616B are 1RU panels. They can be used as remote control panels for the router when combined with the optional CR100 cradle assembly. In order to use either of these as a local control panel on the 2 RU multimedia router, a CP1616A/2 or CP1616B/2 is required.

The CP1616C panel has 16 separate buttons for selection of Video and 16 buttons dedicated to selection of Audio. This panel is appropriate when 'breakaway' audio mode is frequently used. The CP1616C is a 2RU panel. It can be used as a local control panel on the 2RU XL1616, 16x16 multimedia router. When the CP1616C is used as a remote control panel, it must be used in conjunction with the optional 2RU cradle adapter assembly, model CR200.

The CP1616 Series of panels can be used with any INNOVATION Series 16x16 router. When used as a single bus panel, a DIP switch in the remote panel cradle selects the output that is controlled by each single bus panel.
