The MF-800 Series of modular products is housed in a 2RU frame, which provides an economical method of manually switching dual video, audio and/or data inputs to one output. Typical applications would be as a VTR, quality control or transmitter input selector. A selector switch on the control panel programs the frame to switch the modules independently, or to switch the entire frame at one time.
Video inputs and output are provided with BNC connectors, analog audio with clamp-type barrier strips, and data and AES/EBU with a 9-pin D-type, simplifying interconnection of all signals.
Up to a maximum of eight modules can be mounted from the rear of the frame, along with a main power supply. A maximum of seven modules can be implemented when a redundant power supply (PS-801) is added to the frame.
The local control panel is connected to the front of the frame. A remote control panel can be added through a 25-pin type-D connector on the rear of the frame. The system can be operated with both a local and remote control panel.
